Bio

Russell Gunn (born October 20, 1971 in Chicago) raised in East St. Louis Il. is an American contemporary  musician, He has produced two  Grammy nominated recordings, Ethnomusicology vol. 1 and Vol.2

his initial musical interest was American Hip Hop. 

Russell has recorded or performed with Jazz at Lincoln Center, Maxwell, D'Angelo, Marcus Miller, Johnnie Taylor, Cee Lo Green, The Goodie Mob, Ne-Yo, Branford Marsalis.

His current project is the  "The Royal Krunk Jazz Orkestra" the album "Get It How You Live" was released July 13, 2018 on Ropeadope records.
